I’m a final year BA (Hons) Spatial Design student, with a passion for the natural environment and a sensitive approach to design. I create spaces, mostly instillations for people to experience with, innovation, sustainability, community and the environment at the forefront of my design process and idea creation .An endless source that is always a key influence on my work is our natural environment. Nature is beautiful, complex, colourful, textural, strong, incredible, it is a compilation of research containing form, function, fluidity, systems and mechanics. For my final year major project, I am analysing the effects of natural materials within spaces and how materials give spaces life, light, form and texture. Also this research will attempt to explore how people react to different material spaces. Considering how spaces create sensory environments connected with emotions such as nostalgia, comfort, confinement and warmth. The two materials selected to explore are; Paper, experimenting with Cornish plant materials and Cob traditional Cornish building material.
