Chris wanted to investigate typography in 3D environments and contexts. In this example (night type) Chris creates letterforms with light in external environments. Captured on film but of course produced over time, so only through the printed image can the full message be read. He produced a series of experiments that were finally brought together in a book entitled ‘XYZ’.
